Brisbane, QLD, Australia - It seems I've inadvertently booked myself into a hostel (sorry, backpacker) smack in the middle of Chinatown. Does this mean what I think it means? Boba?

(edit)

Okay, I am flipping OUT. Not only do I find dozens (DOZENS!) Chinese restaurants literally 10 feet away from my hostel that sell boba, but I also walk into a Chinese supermarket and hear - get ready - JAY CHOU. For Jay fans, it was his 2005 November's Chopin (十一月的萧邦) album, and I walked in to catch the ending notes of Black Sweater (黑色毛衣) and the beginning of Coral Sea (珊瑚海). I was so excited, I bought myself pineapple cake - the individually wrapped square stuff. Chinese people know what I'm talking about. Then I scampered back here to blog about it. Errrrr loser. (In my defense, I was only 10 feet away from my hostel.) But seriously, if you know me but at all, you can understand my utter euphoria. And in case you don't know me too well, here's a rough breakdown:

Boba + Jay Chou + pineapple cake + cute old Chinese couple (see Bobalicious for details) = HELLA HAPPY CAT.

I love Brisbane! Okay, no more computer. Time for real-life people!
